![]() Furthermore, he stated that the agent on a records line stated that my engine seized up. It’s unfortunate that I must go to extreme measures just to have justice on the situations that they have caused. I do appreciate that he acknowledges that it was never offered to have helped clean up the mess they left and the refilling the oil. ![]() The reason he stated he would not reimburse me for the cleaning or the oil change service from the mechanics was because they could have done that at their Valvoline shop, but I didn’t allow them to. I explained that I felt that it shouldn’t be a negotiating factor that I have to remove my reviews just to be refunded for the oil change that clearly didn’t last 24 hours. I did state that I would be satisfied by receiving a refund for the oil change provided by Valvoline and a reimbursement for having to receive another oil change from the auto shop, I also am requesting a refund from my own purchase of the USB drive to receive the video at the time of service. In regard to finding a solution he offered to refund me for my oil change, only if I would agree to remove my reviews and not continue to post them. I will go somewhere that appreciates my business, and where I can be treated like a valued customer. Mind you, I always request full synthetic oil and thus pay top dollar. Mind you, it also showed on my invoice that the coolant reservoir also checked out okay, but this was not the case, too.īefore I left Valvoline, I also had to ask for my tire pressure to be checked. ![]() It's hard to believe that in 2 weeks time it would go from being okay to being dead. Ironically, I looked on my Valvoline invoice (Mind you, the one that was emailed to me, because they were unable to print one out for me when I was there.) and it showed that the Battery checked out as OK. He showed me his gauge and told me I needed a new one. What? I called AAA, and they came out and said my battery was dead. What? He filled it up for me with about a half-gallon that I purchased from him. The man came to my car, checked the level of the coolant, and told me I was just about out. With that, he raised his hand, pointed to the door, and shouted back at me get out, now! I told him I'm going to Auto Zone just down the street where I can be serviced. Well, I did shout and told him I would never come back and would give his store a negative review. Why couldn't someone call or email me? Why didn't someone forewarn me beforehand, that if I needed coolant they are out and what the procedure is to provide it to me. I told him I don't like the idea of my having to stop by every so often with an update. He said they are trying to get some coolant soon. I told the manager just how rushed I was, but he was not really concerned. I came back the following day and they still didn't have coolant. I explained to them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau, The Attorney General's Office and possibly seeking legal action against them. I contacted Valvoline customer care to find out how to appeal the claim denial, because my mechanic explained to me and both Valvoline managers that low oil would cause the damage that was done to my engine. I asked him if he would make that statement if I was to seek legal counsel and he agreed. He also told me that he spoke to both Valvoline managers and told them that this damage was caused by a low oil level. He explained to me that my timing chain skipped a tooth and destroyed my engine due to low oil and that indeed it was Valvoline’s fault. I told him that Valvoline denied my claim. ![]() I spoke with my mechanic to ask how much the engine would be to repair. I was told after review, they were not going to cover my claim. ![]() I never heard back from Valvoline, so I contacted them a week and a half later. After a later discussion, I was advised to have the vehicle towed to my local mechanic, which I did. ![]()
